Trinity College, located in the city of Hartford, Connecticut, invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of Athletics and Chair of Physical Education. A selective coeducational institution of 2,200 students and 210 faculty, Trinity College has a long history of both academic and athletic excellence. The Director leads the Department, guiding and mentoring coaches, as well as other athletics staff members with an unwavering commitment to enhancing the student-athlete experience and success of the entire athletics program.
Reporting directly to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director is responsible for the 29 NCAA Division III varsity sports, intramural and recreational programs, the supervision of the College’s Physical Education Department and all of the College’s athletic facilities. The Director will be responsible for compliance with all policies, rules and regulations of Trinity College, NESCAC and NCAA.
The College has retained Witt/Kieffer to help identify a diverse, qualified pool of candidates. Inquiries, nominations and applications are invited. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will assume his or her duties in January 2018.
