The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Social Media Coordinator. This is a contract, full-time position with a targeted salary of $34,000/year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. The Social Media Coordinator for the UCLA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will assist the Associate Director of Social Media & Creative Content in the implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy while assisting with content creation, monitoring all UCLA social media feeds, maintaining a strategic calendar across all 25 sport programs and playing an active role in fan engagement/interaction efforts in order to increase/enhance visibility, student-athlete recruitment, brand awareness and revenue generation.
Preferred qualifications include: Knowledge of digital multimedia editing systems such as Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus; Knowledge of graphic design best practices and principles for both print and web projects; Multi browser experience and knowledge (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari and Opera) and working knowledge of multiple devices (PCs, Mobile and Tablets); Knowledge in copy-writing, editing and web usability.
