The Athletics Graphic Designer will support Holy Cross Athletics as the graphic designer and will be responsible for the visual brand of the Crusader Athletics Department across print, digital and audio/video platforms, as well as facility graphics. This person will also work with and support marketing and other revenue streams to promote the mission and goals of the athletics department.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Strategic visual development of the sales campaigns and organizational branding
Design achievement of visibility, relevance and revenue goals / objectives
Support of department's social media efforts by assisting in the design of infographics, marketing materials, online advertising, and other graphic needs
Assist in the coordination and execution of photoshoots, branding events, and other brand related activities.
Be the lead resource for internal stakeholders with their graphic needs, making sure they are both on brand and on message, delivered flawlessly on time and on budget.
Creation of printed advertisements, publications, collateral, ads, logos, signage, web ads, emails, digital boards, etc.
Live by, champion, respect, and communicate brand guidelines and logo usage.
Manage projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements.
Present final layouts to clients for approval.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization with at least one (1) year of full-time professional experience in commercial design, art, marketing, graphic design, sports or related field. Expert level experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and working knowledge of Dreamweaver, Premiere and After Effects. Ability to take complex ideas and present them in a manner that is easy to consume and share. Experience collaborating with a team and working cross-functionally to achieve department goals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively with tight deadlines. Preferred candidate must have the proven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines; excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate project goals to all members of the external division; experience developing and driving brand and brand message; knowledge of usage and best practices for consumer related products (marketing collateral, websites, TV commercials, digital signage).
