Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.
Responsible for policy and procedure, education and monitoring for all areas of bylaws 11 and 13.
Coordinate football game day PSA complimentary admissions and pre-game field access.
Manage the high profile football PSA spreadsheet (for increased monitoring).
Monitor select PSA social media account(s) in men’s basketball and football.
Educate sports on NCAA recruiting rules and monitor off-campus recruiting, official and unofficial visits, and ACS dashboard review for select sports. Football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
Educate new coaches (and sport specific staff) on Texas Tech recruiting policies (ACS, iPhone app).
Responsible for coaching limit declarations, monitoring, and education (includes: coaches, volunteers, football G.A.’s, undergrads, student managers, and sport specific staff).
Responsible for the sports camp education/monitoring process.
Monitor sports camps/clinics, local sports clubs/academies, and coaching clinics (for PSA coaches) for compliance with NCAA rules, state law, and institutional policy.
Responsible for tryout exception information from sports.
Review and approve TTU coaches’ employment at non-institutional camps.
Coordinate NCAA recruiting exam for all sports.
Manage rules interpretation requests and prepare/submit waivers for bylaws 11 and 13.
Develop and evaluate monitoring systems, policies/procedures, and forms as appropriate.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years compliance experience at a Division I institution is preferred.
