The University of Pittsburgh’s Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director of Varsity Letter Club and Mentorship. This position assists in the implementation of engagement strategies for former varsity letter winners in an effort to grow the membership and generate mentorship opportunities. This position conducts research; identifies prospects; and qualifies, cultivates, and solicits support from these individuals. The incumbent will serve as a liaison to the Varsity Letter Club board and the Cathy and John Pelusi Family Life Skills program.
The incumbent will be responsible for planning mentorship recruiting events and increasing participation among former varsity letter winners in the mentorship program with current Pitt student-athletes. Additionally, he/she will play a large role in networking events in the Life Skills program. The position must meet and/or exceed assigned engagement goals as they relate to the Varsity Letter Club and current/new letter winners and mentors. In addition, the position will attend and assist with the planning and implementation of Panther Club events, Life Skills events, mentor recruitment and matching, and carrying out other duties as assigned.
3-5 years' experience is required with a minimum of three years of related experience with event planning/marketing and communications experience required.
