The Georgia Southern Athletics Department is seeking a motivated, hard-working candidates for the position of Athletic Event Management and Operations Graduate Assistant beginning in August 2018. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to coordination of set up of athletic and special events, oversight of event staff, and student assistance with day to day administration of event management and facility operations. Additional duties include coordinating with game officials and visiting teams, collaborating and coordinating with all athletics and on campus staff to ensure the best possible game day experience for our student athletes, coaches, and fans as well as other duties as assigned. The program will provide the student with a comprehensive, hands on training in Event and Facility operations to further enhance their professional development.
The candidate must possess a Bachelor Degree in Sport Management or related field and be admitted or pending admission into Graduate school at Georgia Southern University. Prior experience in Event Management and Operations.
1+ years of Event Management/Game Operations experience at a Division 1 Intercollegiate Level.
