The Assistant Director - Facilities and Event Management will provide oversight of three athletic facilities, Valley Fields, the Al McGuire Center and the 707 fourth floor lacrosse suite. This individual will manage the maintenance needs of the Valley Field complex and seasonal dome. This position will provide game management for selected sports, event setup and teardown, supervision of student staff, and facility scheduling. This position will be the athletic administrator in charge/on duty at several athletic and university events.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the Valley Fields complex: Responsibilities will include general maintenance and facility upkeep, field setup, and approving visiting team practice requests
Facility scheduling; Prioritizing sport requests
Event setup and teardown at the Al McGuire Center and Valley Fields
Game management supervisor for women’s lacrosse competitions
Game management assistant supervisor for men’s and women’s soccer competitions
Facility supervisor for all Valley Fields special events and rentals
Supervision of Facilities and Event Management student staff
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Sport Administration/Management or closely related field preferred.
