The Development Coordinator functions as the administrative assistant to the Director of Development and other development team members. This position’s duties include maintaining all correspondence files, coordinate meetings, process travel and petty cash reimbursements, code invoices, work with the UT Foundation business office to initiate contracts/NCJs, collect and review timesheets, oversee and reconcile procurement card, and assist with projects with the Tennessee Fund team. The position also provides assistance to new employees during the hiring process by distributing and collecting appropriate hire paperwork. This position will be strategically involved with the Tennessee Fund team in the Athletics office to annually assist and support in multiple solicitations to ensure goals and metrics are exceeded to benefit the department. The role will also provide customer service and resolution while assisting donors and potential donors with contributions and ticket and parking purchases and assist in the coordination and planning of special events and dedications for the Tennessee Fund office and Athletic Department. Assists with daily tasks, projects for the Tennessee Fund team along with the Stewardship Coorindator.
This position requires the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree is preferred. 2 – 4 years in event planning or development within a fast-paced office setting experience is required.
The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills as well as superior customer service, ability to multi-task, work independently to meet deadlines, and use considerable judgment in supporting and working with a diverse group of staff as well as the donors. Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, and experience with donor and SAP databases (internal ANDI and IRIS preferred) is required. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, be detail oriented, and maintain a positive, professional image of the UT Knoxville athletic department as well as the UT Foundation.
