The Graduate Assistant for Marketing & Promotions will work within the sports marketing department and will assist in game-day marketing and promotions for designated sports. These duties include, but are not limited to, planning and executing on-field/on-court promotions, script writing, distribution of fan giveaways, and strategizing and implementing new ideas to improve game-day atmosphere and attendance.
The Graduate Assistant will also be responsible for social media marketing efforts, including the development of ticket promotions and fan/student engagement initiatives. In addition, the position will assist coordinating marketing video and photo shoots, as well as aid in the creation of promotional materials.
The successful candidate must be able to develop ideas independently and respond efficiently to department needs and requests, as well as communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management, or a related field, with a minimum of one year of sports marketing experience; demonstrated social media proficiency; must have knowledge and interest in Division I intercollegiate athletics; must be willing to work some evenings, weekends and holiday hours when required for events. Candidate must be well organized and able to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve targeted goals.
