Summary and Scope of Position:
The Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, Student-Athlete Services, and Diversity & Inclusion is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Athletics. This position assists with the management of the Ursinus College athletics program, provide guidance for athletic department staff, manage specific responsibilities and support the Director of Athletics. Ursinus College, located in Collegeville, PA offers 25 athletic teams, which compete in the Centennial Conference at the NCAA Division III level.
NCAA and Centennial Conference compliance for the athletics program, including NCAA reporting, staff education, recruiting and transfers, playing and practice seasons, and student-athlete eligibility
Monitor student-athletes’ academic performance via academic early alert system, GPA reports and communication with the Ursinus Institute for Student Success, professors and coaching staff
Schedule and conduct student-athlete feedback interviews
Oversee SAAC and Emerging Leaders Academy
Develop and implement diversity, inclusion and leadership/mentoring programs for student-athletes, teams and coaches
Serve as liaison with Student Affairs Division
Serve as liaison with Dining Services
Supervise Head Coaches – provide mentorship and support, manage hiring processes, and conduct performance assessments for 8-10 head coaches
Various duties related to day-to-day athletic department management
Serve as member of Athletics Division Senior Staff, Hall of Fame Committee, Centennial Conference Administrative Delegates and search committees for various positions
At least 3-5 years’ experience in collegiate athletics administration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, delegation and planning ability
Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
