This position’s duties are assigned as, but not limited to: monitoring, coordination, and execution of day to day facility usage, and event operations of SMU Athletics, assist in the following: execution of sport practice and contest set up for varsity athletic events, event set-up and breakdown, and maintaining building security. This position will have interaction with campus Facility Services, parking contractor, security contractor, SMU Police Department, Aramark and other key personnel dealing directly with day of game operations. Candidate serves in a support role for preparations and game management of sporting events as determined; and will be responsible for ensuring all athletic equipment belonging to Facilities and Operations is at or above NCAA regulations for safety and also monitor inventory and condition of non-athletic equipment in athletic facilities. Candidate will assist in all areas dealing directly with Ford Stadium, Moody Coliseum, SMU Tennis Complex, Westcott Field, and Pettus Practice Field. Successful candidate needs the ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with athletic department personnel, University administration and Facility Services staff. Candidate must be organized, responsible, and able to successfully complete multiple tasks on concurrent timelines while working within NCAA regulations. Working nights and weekends are expected of this position. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
