Primary point of contact on various football-related issues (including but not limited to) the NCAA Division I Football Oversight Committee, College Football Officiating LLC, Football Bowl Association and American Football Coaches Association), oversee the postseason football bowl certification process and monitor/coordinate legislative issues and address other issues that might impact the sport of football. Collaborate in the operation and oversight with the NCAA Division I Football Championship staff. The successful candidate must have the skills required to effectively function in a team-oriented culture that emphasizes leadership, inclusion, collaboration, communication and accountability.
Serve as a key staff member in the governance of Division I football-related matters and, as a primary staff liaison to and on behalf of the Division I Football Oversight Committee, assist in supporting the relevant governance entities in understanding and managing football-related matters, and participate as an active member of the Division I governance liaison team to provide guidance regarding policy issues and potential solutions.
Assist in the development and execution of a football-centric strategic plan.
Oversee the annual NCAA certification process for all postseason bowl games in collaboration with NCAA finance and audit units as well as serving as a liaison to the Football Bowl Association.
Work collaboratively with national office staff regarding common and Association-wide matters (e.g., NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee, NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports) to ensure effective partnering with Association-wide and Divisions I, II and III colleagues related to football matters.
Work with the NCAA Division I football championship staff in communication with the FCS membership and related internal and external partners.
Supervise and/or carry out other duties, projects and initiatives as directed by the senior vice president or managing director of championships and alliances, operations. This may include serving on various groups and national office project teams.
At least 10 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics or higher education, and /or governance support and analysis as a senior-level administrator.
At least five years of management and/or supervisory experience.
At least five years football related experience

The NCAA national office is the staff and the bricks-and-mortar office building in Indianapolis. The 500-plus employees at the national office provide advice and counsel to the governance and playing rules committees, interpret legislation, enforce NCAA bylaws, provide legal advice, run championships, administer education and youth programs and communicate with the NCAA membership and the public.
