The Greensboro Coliseum Complex Associate Box Office Manager is a management level employee in ticket operations that will assist in managing all aspects of ticketing, programming and building events, using Ticketmaster Host, TMOne, Archtics or other computer programs the Coliseum Complex may use to sell tickets. The position will build a variety of events to include but not limited to reserved seated events including sporting events, concerts, family shows, and general admission events such as consumer shows, youth sports, swim meets and other unique ticketed events. This includes managing events from start to finish by creating scalings and CADs, holding appropriate seats, building qualifiers, managing inventory and settlement. This person must interact with promoters to build, manage and settle assigned events. This position will oversee various aspects of the box office operation including oversight of part-time staff roster, cash operations, premium ticketing and communication of necessary event information to other departments. This position will interact with the general public and provide necessary customer service. This position is non-exempt under FLSA and will work a varying schedule to coincide with events including nights, weekends and holidays. Duties and responsibilities under the Box Office Manager will include: • Manages ticketing of various facility events including but not limited to all types of sporting events, concerts, family shows, general admission events, consumer shows, and a wide variety of other events from beginning to end. These events may be single events, season and series events and multi-day passes. • Communicates directly with promoters to build and manage events throughout the event life cycle. • Builds and manages defined events in Ticketmaster Host, TMOne and Archtics. Starting with map creation and editing, event build in both TM Host and Archtics and management of event and inventory in TMOne. Includes application of national specs and initiatives of tours and shows. • Manages events day of show, checking event set up, communicating information and changes to internal departments. Prepares show settlement for promoter and business office at end of the event. • Generate CAD diagrams of events for promoters. • Communicate necessary event information to other departments within the organization in advance of events. Work with other departments on show day to ensure chair set and production information is correct. • In the absence of the box office manager assumes managerial division oversight duties and decisions. • This position will oversee one PTB supervisor and the event staff roster. Responsible for scheduling and training of ticket sellers. Responsible for processing of weekly payroll and managing part time staff to ensure proper customer service practices in resolving customer (internal and external) issues and assuring courteous, timely and respectful service. • Assists with daily receipts preparation and internal reporting of ticket counts to all departments daily. Assists with cash management, change orders and vault. • Aids in account creation and order processing for promoter, internal and other ticket orders. • Assist with maintaining show files on each event that consist of seat holds, show build documents, ticket orders/vouchers, event audits, relevant correspondence and other important show information. • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks concurrently, complete tasks in timely manner and respond to internal and external emails quickly. This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
Bachelor Degree from an accredited college/university "OR" an Associates Degree and 11 years of directly related experience
3 to 5 years of experience working in a box office supervisory/management role.
Must be proficient with computers and the MS Office program
Must have at least 2 years Ticketmaster Host, TMOne and Archtics experience.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sports/entertainment venue.
Valid Driver's License
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Accounting, Sports/Entertainment Management, or related field
Experience using CAD software
Cash Handling Experience
Experience in a multi-venue sports/entertainment complex
Experience with building/managing season ticketing for arts or sports
Bi-Lingual Work Schedule: Wednesday- Tuesday (night, weekends & holidays)
