The University of Dayton’s Division of Athletics is currently accepting applications for the position of Coordinator of Corporate Development and Fulfillment. The University of Dayton, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, has a broad-based, 17-sport intercollegiate athletics program. This is an internship position that will support the Director of Corporate Development in the coordination of our Corporate Sponsor’s portfolios and in the acquisition, retention and growth of corporate sponsor accounts. The UD Athletics internship program is designed to expose the highly-motivated individual to all aspects of corporate sponsorship development and support for a Division I athletic program. Strong performers have the opportunity to be considered for permanent positions within the division if and when they become available. This is a 12 month, benefit eligible internship position with an optional one year renewal.
The duties of this position include but are not limited to: assisting with the development of effective sales presentations, supporting positive relationships with corporate clients, fulfilling corporate deliverables, assist with the design and production of game day publications relating to corporate sponsorship. In addition, this person will serve as coordinator for special events including but not limited to alumni games, Hall of Fame inductions and pre-game dining experiences. All UD Athletics employees are expected to comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University, the NCAA and the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, minimum of one (1) year of equivalent successful experience within intercollegiate or professional athletics (teams, organizations, sports media companies or firms related to athletics), experience selling or servicing sports marketing partnerships, experience planning and executing marketing and promotional elements related to corporate partnership agreements, able to demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, and must be available to work many nights, weekends, and some holidays, as well as the ability to travel. Preferred qualifications: Experience selling or servicing sports marketing partnerships within an organization with annual partnership revenue in excess of $500,000, demonstrated experience collaborating with vendors, sponsors and staff to execute implementation of sponsorship and contract fulfillment, demonstrated experience with collegiate or professional game day corporate sponsorship activation, able to demonstrate successful experience working in an exemplary customer service environment, successful coordination in event services such as special event dining, transportation, and food service, able to demonstrate excellent organizational and verbal communication skills and possess a valid driver’s license, maintain a low risk driving record and be able to be insured by the university.
