The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Compliance Officer-Athletics and Eligibility, Assistant Registrar. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, this position coordinates all aspects of continuing and initial athletic eligibility certification, including working with the Directors and Academic Counselors in Athletics, Office of Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships and Athletic Compliance Office. This position is responsible for entering and submitting the APR (Academic Progress Report) and the GSR (Graduation Success Report) to the NCAA. The Athletics Compliance Officer provides NCAA and PAC 12 rules education and interpretations to the institution.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Three years experience handling compliance functions within a university such as athletics, veterans, degree clearance, management of FERPA compliance or experience in external compliance positions that operate within regulatory industries.
Demonstrated familiarity with NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OAR 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
Highly organized and able to multi task in a stressful, fast paced environment.
Experience working with a Division I Athletics Department.
