Army West Point Athletics is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Assistant or Associate Director (title will be determined by experience level) of the Army A Club. Over the past five years, the Army A Club annual fund has grown from approximately 4,000 members and $2.6 million in annual dollars raised to approximately 5,500 members and $6.2 million in annual dollars raised. This growth has been driven by a team of fundraising professionals who push each other to partake in a high level of outreach on behalf of Army West Point Athletics. Responsible for supporting the Army A Club as full-time fundraiser in support of Army West Point Athletics
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Management of approximately 350+ annual fund donors with a defined number of contacts each month; actively cultivate, solicit and steward gifts from assigned donors with a focus on membership retention and upgrades.
Assist the Assistant Athletic Director, Army A Club with development of the overall fundraising plan and strategies for execution.
Responsible for generating $150,000-$175,000 in new money for the Army A Club annually.
Responsible for managing annual donors between $750 and $10,000.
Identify and solicit new Army A Club members through research, referrals and in-bound and out-bound phone calls and emails.
Oversee other targeted fundraising initiatives designed to grow membership within the Army A Club; assist with donor correspondence as assigned.
Provide a high level of customer service to donors at every giving category and prospects via phone, email and in person.
Accurately assist with the administration of benefits to Army A Club members to include: fulfillment of ticket and parking privileges; monitoring donor upgrades.
Help track incoming gifts to include updating the Paciolan and Raiser’s Edge systems.
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director, Army A Club and Associate Athletic Director, Development.
Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Must have excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be available for travel (5%-25% of working time)
Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Master’s Degree preferred
2+ years of experience working in intercollegiate athletics, specifically within development/fundraising, sales or customer service
Experience in marketing, sponsorships, outbound ticket sales, and other forms of revenue generation within intercollegiate athletics
Working knowledge of Paciolan and Raiser’s Edge database systems
