The Intercollegiate Athletics Department is seeking hard working, responsible, motivated candidates for an entry-level, associate position supporting the Student-Athlete Affairs program. This position will receive exposure to professional aspects of collegiate athletics activities in academics and student-athlete development such as: assist with transitional programs, personal/identity development, career development, diversity and inclusion programming and community service. This position will co-teach the Student-Athlete Success course for freshman and the Professional Development course for juniors and seniors. Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the welfare, personal development and academic success of the student-athletes. Establish and maintain effective interactions with students, colleagues, university staff and administrators, alumni, and the public. Demonstrate commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, and NCAA.
The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills, be confident presenting to groups, and be highly organized. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body.

Proposed End Date: May 31, 2018
Required: Bachelor’s degree and experience providing student affairs or student life skills services.
Preferred: Experience working with a variety of Student-Athlete Affairs programs for a collegiate athletics program.
Experience working with diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Experience presenting to small and large groups.
Experience which demonstrates knowledge of NCAA regulations related to this position.
Degree(s) in related field (e.g., Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, etc).

Additional Salary Information: Salary is $1,600/month + full benefits package. Overtime eligible. This is an entry-level, term appointment.
