Business Manager, Marketing/Promotions, Sports Information
Direct oversight of the promotions and fan engagement efforts for Men’s Basketball and other sports as assigned:
Including the creation, implementation and analysis of marketing plans
Development and execution of game presentation scripts
Coordinate efforts with ticket office, ticket sales, various coaching staffs, United Supermarkets Arena staff and event management to ensure success and maximize fan engagement opportunities
Direct oversight of two post-graduate interns inside the Promotions and Fan Engagement unit
Assist in the development and execution of creative and innovative promotional and fan engagement campaigns for Texas Tech Football
Act as the on-field liaison for promotions at Texas Tech Football games
Assist in efforts surrounding Raider Alley, pre-game fan centric tailgate area
Assist in the management of department social media efforts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and other mediums for select sports
Create and manage the social media calendar for select sports
Monitor the reach of our social media efforts, focusing on identifying key contributors, trends and potential opportunities
Drive fan engagement by actively creating new opportunities to interact with fans through social media
Assist in the coordination of the Texas Tech email communication strategy, ensuring high quality content, timely delivery and analytical evaluation of results
Develop new concepts that enhance game day presentation at all sports including corporate sponsor and traditional elements
Collaborate with Ticket Sales and Ticket Operations to generate new streams of revenue for department
Assist in researching and developing new grassroots ideas for increasing attendance for collegiate athletics
Compliance with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Master’s degree with four years fulltime experience in a collegiate or professional marketing organization. Experience with marketing automation platforms, digital marketing and social media analytics. Familiarity with video board use/creativity, proven track record of growing attendance and increasing fan engagement, experience with Adobe Creative Suites or other graphic design programs, knowledge of working relationships with a media rights company.
