Union College, a highly selective liberal arts institution located in Schenectady, New York is accepting applications for the position of Sports Information Assistant/Fraternity and Sorority Life Assistant with the department of Athletics and Fraternity/Sorority Life Office. Union is an NCAA multi-classified institution that sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports. Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey compete in Division I ECAC Hockey, and 24 sports compete in the Division III Liberty League.
This position will assist the Assistant Athletic Director/Sports Information and a full time assistant and provide support to Union’s fraternity and sorority chapters to further the success and development of the Union College Greek community.
Duties for Sports Information include event coverage, website management, sport assignments, media guides, live video setup and archiving, game notes, social media, photo image and publication design, and student worker supervision.
Reporting to the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, duties for Fraternity and Sorority Life include advising assigned chapters, oversight of social events to ensure compliance with Greek Life policies, and assisting in new member education process.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends. The position is expected to devote 20 hours per week to Sports Information and 5 hours per week to Fraternity and Sorority Life. Compensation will include hourly wage as well as on campus housing and meal plan.
