The Assistant Athletics Director - Content and Digital Strategy will support the Holy Cross Athletics by leading the content team in order to engage fans and deliver robust insights and action plans for content (video, communications, media relations) social media, digital strategy and graphic design.. This person will also work with and support revenue generation and data analysis to promote the mission and goals of the athletics department.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Direct and manage four major content areas within external operations including Media Relations, Social & Digital Content, Video & Network Production, and graphic design
Direct oversight of the content team to produce timely, comprehensive and engaging content to be distributed across all Holy Cross Athletics platforms (Social, mobile, Patriot League Network, website, and traditional platforms)
Direct and Implement all content strategy, digital advertising elements, digital ad campaigns, social marketing, and data acquisition.
Direct and activate all email marketing elements, including all campaigns, marketing initiatives, and communication strategies.
Utilize insights tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Twitter Ad Analytics to produce decision making metrics.
Should possess experience with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, SnapChat, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite.
Act as lead liaison to emerging and established partners - developing joint business plans for all parties that leverages the platforms to further Mobility business objectives
Build a pipeline of strategic digital opportunities through developing a network of the key players in the industry from which to source potential transactions.
Oversight of official athletics website strategic plan, and implementation.
Implement and asses mobile technology and system feasibility
Collaborate with the entire external team to leverage content resources to achieve department goals.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; 4-5 years of experience in a content or digital media (previous internship applicable). Some experience in professional or intercollegiate athletic environment a plus, put not required. Applicants should have 2 or more years of relevant team and people management experience. Proven strategic planning experience is necessary. Knowledge of editing content and materials for consistency and brand appropriateness. Ability to take complex ideas and present them in a manner that is easy to consume and share. Experience managing a small team and working cross-functionally to achieve department goals. Strong technical skills, and ability to leverage emerging media. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively with tight deadlines. Strong quantitative analytical ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office required. Proficiency in HTML, HTML 5, and CSS a plus. Passion for emerging media trends and technology. Experience with NeuLion Titan platform a plus.
