Under the direction of the Director of Athletics and Associate Athletic Director, the individual in this position directs the day-to-day compliance services and continuing education efforts for a Division II athletics program. This individual is responsible for the institution’s oversight of compliance with NCAA and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rules & regulations. Duties include but not limited to: initial and continuing eligibility certification; preparation & processing of NCAA squad lists; administration of the National Letter of Intent program; the monitoring of recruiting, playing & practice seasons; extra benefits; camps/clinics; administration of student-athlete financial aid; coordinate, develop, and prepare materials for Compliance Meetings and Educational efforts for our staff; attend approved meetings, conferences, and appropriate seminars to maintain knowledge on ever-changing rules and regulations; coordinate preseason meetings to complete Student-Athlete forms; organize, monitor, audit and approve all documentation assigned including CARA logs, phone records, official/unofficial visits and contact/evaluation logs; assist in updating the online Compliance Manual Disseminate information to various staff, coaches, and student-athletes.
Other responsibilities include assisting in game day events, fundraising efforts and other duties as assigned.
Division II compliance or related experience
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and compliance operational issues and activities
Interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance
Knowledge of College-specific computer application program (Banner)
Advanced computer skills including demonstrated proficiency using the NCAA Compliance Assistant software, NCAA Eligibility Center, RSRO, and LSDBi
Working knowledge of advising and counseling techniques
Experience in the filing of: Graduation Rates, Academic Success Rates, NCAA Financial Report and EADA report
Additional Salary Information: Salary is $40,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
