Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Director of Major Gifts (full-time, annual appointment position with benefits) in the Department of Chanticleer Athletic Foundation.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position serves as a primary major gift development officer for the CAF. Duties will include, but not be limited to: planning and coordinating with Executive Director fund-raising initiatives with special focus on major gifts, capital campaigns and scholarships; managing a portfolio of 150 or more major gift donors and prospects for Athletics; developing and implementing plans to identify, cultivate, solicit and provide appropriate stewardship for major gift donors; planning and coordinating when applicable the involvement of the President, Vice President for Philanthropy, Director of Athletics, other senior staff, coaches and volunteers in development activities; assisting in the development of campaign literature and materials; assisting in the planning and implementation of Chanticleer Athletic Foundation special events, including game-day hospitality; providing exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large; and other duties as assigned.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum five (5) years of experience with a proven success record in fund-raising or outside sales; and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Successful candidate will be highly motivated, reliable and team-member oriented. Preferred candidate will have collegiate athletic fundraising experience.
