The Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for the oversight of all ticketing functions for UTC Athletic events, as well as events hosted within the McKenzie Arena including non-sporting events, concerts, and shows. The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact for the ticket office, providing premier service to all. The position will assist with pricing structures and strategy, as well as collaborate with marketing and development efforts of the Athletics Department to help generate revenue through increased ticket sales and gifts.
The Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for maintaining and operating the ticket system, along with providing accurate reporting for both UTC Athletic and McKenzie Arena events.
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to meet deadlines while working in a team-oriented environment. The position shall serve as the primary contact for Paciolan and the lead trainer to all ticket personnel for the ticketing software. The position oversees two (2) full-time staff members, along with numerous part-time employees, providing premier customer service.
This is a full-time position with benefits that reports to the Deputy AD for External Operations. Some evenings and weekend hours are required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Administration, Marketing, Business, or related field; and 3 years of relevant, progressively responsible ticketing experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required
Masters’ Degree in Sport Administration, Marketing, Business, or related field; and 5 years of relevant experience preferred
Intercollegiate Athletics or Professional Sports experience preferred
Experience with Paciolan and partner solutions (SB Client, Salesforce, Oracle Eloqua, etc.) or similar ticketing system preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate reporting and financial records
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, as well as the capability of completing projects individually
Ability to maintain positive relationships with external and internal constituencies; Must maintain excellent customer service skillset
Working knowledge of, and compliance with, the university, Southern Conference and NCAA ticket operation policies preferred
