Under general supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Operations, the Box Office Manager is responsible for the day to day operation, development, and management of the Bren Events Center/Athletics ticket office. Fulfills ticketing needs for variety of clients including athletic events, concerts, martial arts, cultural events, and other multipurpose venue events. Responsible for handling and organizing various amounts of revenue generated from multiple departments and events. Provides customer support and handles customer service issues. Recruits, hires, trains and oversees all student box office personnel.
Salary: Range $49,226.00
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Required to work variable schedule including evenings, weekend, and holidays to accommodate event needs, as most events occur outside of regular business hours; long and irregular hours on event days
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a ticket office handling ticketing applications, sales, customer service and client services.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience combination of education/experience.
Knowledge of ticketing accounting, security procedures and cashiering controls.
Exhibit attention to detail to ensure financial security of revenue.
Demonstrated experience using personal computer, spreadsheets, databases, networks and software packages to complete reports.
Ability to work independently to identify and implement methods, procedures, and policies that lead to effectively manage box office.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups. Skill to use tact, discretion, confidentiality in internal and external relations.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with promoters, staff, students, and clients.
Knowledge of Paciolan Ticketing system. Perform complicated ticket system functions.
Working knowledge of booking & contract process for special events including, but not limited to: interpreting contracts, booking software, diagram software, and university policies.
Knowledge of University, Conference, and NCAA ticketing policies
