The University of Alabama at Birmingham is accepting applications for the positoin of Assistant Manager of Annual Giving. This position will assist in carrying out designated duties and responsibilities for the Blazer Boosters Annual Giving Program and participate in the planning and implementation of the Blazer Boosters annual giving fundraising efforts in support of intercollegiate athletics. The Assistant Manager will focus primarily on cultivating relationships with assigned prospects and donors through one-on-one visits and digital media as well as help develop new strategies and a systematic plan to identify and increase the donor base for UAB Athletics. In addition, the position will assist in developing and implementing marketing and communication elements for Blazer Boosters.
Duties and Responsibilities
Retention and Growth of the Annual Fund through various platforms
Assist in the development and production of all associated annual fund collateral
Responsible for a minimum of 150 donors/prospects and 10-15 visits per month
Function as a Member of the Blazer Boosters Team
Work collaboratively with team members to execute strategies that achieve maximum program success
Maintain knowledge of giving trends
Attend office, department and development meetings and events
Responsible for managing database information and analyzing data to provide results to the Manager of Annual Giving - Athletics
Prepare contact reports on meetings and interactions with prospects and donors
Work collaboratively with other members of the Development team to identify, cultivate, research and solicit prospects and donors
Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration, Business, Marketing, Communication, Fundraising or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work Experience mat NOT substitute for education requirement.
