RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Head Baseball Coach organize and administer all aspects of our NCAA Division I Baseball program. Essential duties include but are not limited to: Oversight and development of the baseball pitching staff, development of daily workouts for pitchers and catchers, monitor pitch counts and game strategy for pitching staff, day to day coaching of pitching staff; individual skill instruction; recruiting qualified NCAA Division I academically sound and competitive student athletes; scheduling to enhance championship opportunities; organizing and arranging team travel plans; oversee and promote compliance of NCAA rules among staff, student athletes and representatives of athletic interest; serve as a positive role model for the student athletes; and budget assigned funds. Other tasks include but are not limited to: duties of the on the field pitching coach; scouting hitting patterns of hitters and necessary pitches; on and off campus recruiting and assist with game field preparations and overall player improvements. The Assistant Coach will teach a part time load in the Health and Human Performance department and perform other related tasks as assigned by the head coach.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Two years of College, High school or Professional coaching and/or collegiate and/or professional competition experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Four years of College or Professional coaching and/or collegiate and/or professional competition experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience
