Maryville University is accepting applications for Head Coach – Softball. The successful candidate for the position (full-time, 12 month) will be responsible for directing the softball program, including, but not limited to: overseeing the softball budget, development of effective practice and game plans, supervision of coaching staff, conducting softball camps/clinics, approved fundraising, recruiting qualified student-athletes while monitoring their academic success and adhering to Great Lakes Valley Conference and NCAADII rules and regulations. The successful candidate must be committed to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for students, faculty and staff.

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of three years of coaching experience.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance.
Effective communication, leadership skills and positive student-athlete, campus community, alumni and athletics department relations.
Thorough understanding of the game and technical aspects in the sport of softball.
The ability to teach team and individual skills connected with team and player development as well as proper strength and conditioning techniques.
Collegiate softball coaching experience preferred
