Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations. Coastal Carolina is an NCAA Division I Institution and a full member of the Sun Belt Conference.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: oversight of the media relations department featuring the promotion and coverage of 19 sports programs, including FBS football. Additional duties include supervision and allocation of staff to cover day-to-day media, statistical and event support needs of all programs and serving as the primary contact for administration and maintenance of the official athletic website.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four (4) years of full-time media relations/sports information experience at the collegiate or professional level. Successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills including strong writing capabilities for various platforms such as social media, game recaps, etc. Successful candidate will possess strong organizational and leadership skills and proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, StatCrew and web editing software preferred. Must have extensive knowledge of sports and statistical record keeping in addition to working knowledge of NCAA guidelines for media relations.
