RESPONSIBILITIES: The Associate Athletic Director will work under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics to oversee and manage all athletic facilities and event operations for the Universities 17 NCAA Division I Athletic programs to include but not be limited to: assist in the development and oversight of athletic sports budgets; all athletic facility maintenance and renovations; scheduling of facilities and athletic events; emergency management plans; staffing and training for events and overall operation of athletic venues. The Associate Athletic Director (AAD) is responsible to oversee all athletic contracts for events, services and equipment purchased by the department of athletic and sponsorship contracts. Additionally, oversee the sports medicine program, the Athletic equipment room and the strength and conditioning programs. Other essential duties include: oversight of all new construction, upgrades, renovations and ongoing maintenance of facilities; development and implementation of game management plans for 17 NCAA Division I sports; oversight of facility usage while serving as liaison to the NCAA, Conference USA and the local High School State Association for all championships hosted by the University; serve on assigned university committees and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. The AAD will also oversee video production boards and work with the video production crew for television game productions for each athletic venue and the oversight, maintenance, and production of all game day activities on the video boards. The AAD will perform other special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years relevant experience in the field of Athletic Administration or a related administrative field required. One of the total five years experience required in a supervisory capacity required.
SALARY RANGE: $69,167 - $87,995; commensurate with experience
