General Summary: Develops a comprehensive plan and strategies for marketing and promotions for all SPU Athletic events to increase attendance and revenues. Coordinates athletic department partnerships with corporations through sponsorships and advertising. Oversees fan engagement activities on campus, in the local community, and with other partners.
Markets and solicits for corporate sponsorships and advertising for appropriate events and respective publications.
Coordinates the fulfillment of all sponsorship agreements.
Develops on-campus and off-campus promotions of events through print and electronic media, visual displays, or other appropriate means.
Cultivates and maintains relationships with community groups, such as schools, churches and youth organizations to generate interest, support, and increased attendance. Uses these groups, and others, to promote and advertise camp participation and create increased registration numbers.
Coordinates the promotional operations of all SPU athletic events; including but not limited to: scheduling of half-time entertainment, time-out activities, theme nights, and coordination of sponsor involvement.
Support SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee) in promotional activities; including but not limited to Make-A-Wish fundraising endeavors
Coordinates annual fundraising projects alongside Athletics administration to produce events that promote monetary giving to all Athletic programs.
Collaborates with other University departments for promotional activities.
Fully adhere to all NCAA and GNAC compliance rules and regulations.
Accepts additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Maintains and promotes marketing efforts of Athletics social media accounts.
Serves as primary liaison for SPU student section.
Serves as primary contact for SPU cheer and mascot.
Experience in related collegiate athletics marketing, promotion, sponsorship, or related activities.
Familiarity with using social media platforms.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.

This is a full time position with excellent benefits. SPU pays the employee premium for medical, dental, and vision insurance. SPU makes contributions to an employee HSA account and to a retirement account after one year of eligibility in the plan. Tuition discount program available for the employee and qualified immediate family members.
