The Assistant Equipment Manager assists with equipment operations for assigned sports. This position ensures his/her designated sports are properly outfitted with functioning equipment, fiscal responsibility is employed in all aspects of equipment operations and all University, NCAA and SEC regulations are followed.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Sports Management or related field Athletic Equipment Managers' Association (AEMA) certification Experience with developing and implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls At least two years of experience working with athletic equipment operations for multiple sports
Preferred Qualifications At least two years of experience working with Division I basketball equipment operations (includes internships or graduate assistantships) Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field Experience making buying decisions and ordering team apparel Experience using ACS Inventory management system
