Marquette University Athletics is seeking candidates for a Coordinator of Facilities & Events Intern. This is a 12-month appointment that will include night and weekend work. This position will assist with the management, administration, and supervision of Marquette University athletic facilities and event operations. The individual will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks and functions to assist in carrying out the day to day activities of the Facility & Event Operations unit for all of Marquette University’s athletic programs. This is a full-time (40 hours a week plus overtime), benefits eligible position. Hourly rate begins at $12.66 per hour. Preference will be given to applicants who possess exceptional organizational skills and have a clear understanding of the functional areas of a Division I athletic department.
Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist with the daily operation of Valley Fields, Marquette Gym and Al McGuire Center. 2. Assist with supervising the student staff within the facilities and events organizational structure. 3. Assist with managing the athletic department’s vehicle fleet and airport transportation program. 4. Supervise all Al McGuire Center conversions in conjunction with the Assistant Director – Facilities and Events and the Senior Associate Athletic Director – Facilities and Events. 5. Assist with maintenance and inventory/security of all athletic and recreational equipment associated with facilities, events and community programs. 6. Act as an event manager for select Intercollegiate Athletic and campus events 7. Assist with selected Intercollegiate Athletics and campus events to include: a. Men’s and Women’s Basketball b. Men’s and Women’s Soccer c. Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse d. Women’s Volleyball e. Men’s and Women’s Tennis f. Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Cross Country g. Post-season conference and NCAA Tournaments Hosted by Marquette University 8. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

• Experience in facility and event management preferred.
