The Director of Compliance is responsible for providing support to the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance Services for the UCR Department of Athletics Compliance Program. Responsibilities include supporting the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance services in the areas of rules education, initial and continuing eligibility, financial aid, personnel, recruiting, practice and playing seasons, and the self-reporting process. This individual must be able to communicate and function as part of the collaborative team within the Compliance Office and across departments.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Ability to maintain confidentiality. Multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations. Interpersonal skills. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance operational issues and activities, specifically at the Division I level. Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems. Knowledge of University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences. Ability in problem identification and reasoning. Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance. Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the area of athletics compliance at the Division I level.
Working knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
Advanced computer skills including demonstrated proficiency using the NCAA Compliance Assistant software, NCAA Eligibility Center, RSRO, and LSDBi.
Proficiency with JumpForward or similar compliance software.
