Position - Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Deputy Athletics Director directly assists the athletic director with overseeing the day to-day operations of the Athletic Department, to include operation oversight of all sports and programs.
Responsibilities - The Deputy is responsible for oversight, policy development, budget and personnel management of various internal and external areas and sports programs. This position also serves as Sport Administrator to serval sport programs. Additional responsibilities include execution of the strategic plan for the Department including evaluation of current procedures and practices for accomplishing strategic objectives and outcomes. Provide leadership for external operations and development of strategies to increase ticket revenue, corporate sponsorship revenue, attendance at games, fan engagement, and brand awareness. The position will supervise sports information department, ticket office, marketing, and development staff and have sport supervision for assigned sports ensuring all NCAA and league policies and procedures are abided by.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required with 10 years’ progressive experience in college athletics or related field. Candidate must have proven history of successful revenue generation and experience with sport oversight. Excellent writing, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills required. Computer literacy with relevant programs preferred.
