The Associate Director of Athletics External Relations is the primary contact for all marketing, promotions and fundraising for the Mines Department of Athletics.
Manage the day-to-day marketing and sponsorship sales functions for the Department of Athletics. (15% annually)
Coordinate and supervise all fundraising events including Mines Golf Tournament, Department of Athletics Auction, Department Lift-A-Thon and I Dig Mines campaigns. (15% annually)
Create signage, promotions, internet advertising, hospitality, tickets and all other marketing resources in the development and sale of these corporate marketing relationships. (10% annually)
Oversee marketing functions which include: advertising, market research, promotions, database and e-marketing as well as event presentation, video production and interactive marketing. Generate leads and successfully close advertising and sponsorship partnerships for the Department of Athletics. (10% annually)
Assist in all facets of athletics marketing operations, which includes: renewing and cultivating sponsorships, fulfilling sponsorship obligations, managing in-game promotions, facilitating individual game ticket promotional plans, and assisting with department promotional and advertising plans. (10% annually)
Act as game day sport administrator and supervise game day staff as assigned by Director of Athletics. (10% annually)
Increase growth of the Oredigger Booster Club. (5% annually)
Work with Assistant AD for Business Operations on ticket sales. (2% annually)
Responsible for advertising for all varsity sporting events. (5% annually)
Coordinate special promotions and fundraising events with Director of Athletics. (3% annually)
Act as liaison to City of Golden Chamber of Commerce. (2% annually)
Assist Director of Athletics with all departmental and team fundraising activities. (2% annually)
Act as liaison to MEAC, Student Government, WAM and any other appropriate student association. (3% annually)
Act as liaison to Mines Band, Cheer Squad and Dance Team. (3% annually)
All other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics. (indeterminate percent of effort)
Bachelor's degree required.
Must have significant experience in the field of marketing, promotions and fundraising to include; advanced writing, editing, graphic and social media skills.
Communication and public relations skills required.
Master’s degree preferred.
