The University of Georgia is seeking two (2) candidates to fill vacant event management intern positions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring and supervising student staff, direct sport supervision and on-site management of selected sports, scheduling staff for various athletic events, assisting full-time staff with set-up/breakdown and game operations of other home athletic events, contacting visiting teams and officials, creating and/or updating athletic operations manuals, and performing day to day office duties.
These positions will also have the opportunity to gain experience with hosting both conference and NCAA championships, as Georgia will host the 2020 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championship, 2020 SEC Equestrian Championship, and the 2020 NCAA Women's Golf Regional.
Bachelor's degree, previous experience in event management, and a willingness to work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
