Reporting to the University Arenas Assistant Director for Ticketing, Sales, and Brand Advancement, and working very closely with the Brand Advancement Manager, the Sales and Service Manager is responsible for strategically developing, implementing and executing sales strategies specifically geared to generate increased attendance and new ticket sales revenue through group ticket sales, new season ticket sales, corporate group sales, and partial-season plans primarily for RIT Men's and Women's hockey games. This position will focus on soliciting new sales accounts, while entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts.
The Manager is also responsible for the generation of revenue by way of soliciting corporate partnerships for sponsorship sales and suite sales. This person will develop and maintain new and existing corporate relationships and service each client with matters such as contract negotiating, trade valuation, and fulfillment of sponsorship elements such as signage installations, ticket distribution, and coordination of in-game mentions, tv and video spots, and promotional nights.
Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and execute a sponsorship sales plan including sponsor prospecting, proposal customization and presentation, negotiating contract revisions and services, and sponsor follow-up and support.
Research and identify industries and organizations to solicit for Suite purchases and/or Sponsorship cash/trade.
Coordination and execution of sponsor signage throughout venues.
Create, budget, develop, and execute annual ticket sales plan and strategies, new programs, and sales events.
Locate and cultivate new ticket buyers by cold-calling new sales leads to generate ticket sales while maintaining relationships with current and past customers.
Serve as primary contact for all inbound sales requests.
Assist in the design and production of ticket sales and support collateral, including brochures, flyers, and advertisements.
Create and execute renewal programs and processes for season and group ticket customers.
Utilize the ticketing system to provide sales coverage, create accounts, print client tickets, and run reports.
Assist with managing Box Office Operations, including hiring, training, and supervising Box Office student staff, covering staff shortages, and managing remote Box Office events across campus.
Manage and coordinate DVD sales and Digital Download sales, including order fulfillment and fiscal reporting, for the 22 RIT and High School graduation ceremonies hosted in UA venues.
