Supervision and Administration of the Athletic Academic Center; Supervision of AAC staff members; Academic Advising and Support; Admissions Assistance; Instruction and other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree with 5-10 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in higher education required; at least 5-7 years in administration of academic support programs working with NCAA Division I student-athletes; demonstrated strong management skills including fiscal and human resource management, policy development, strategic planning and use of new technologies; exceptional verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with a variety of diverse audiences and constituencies; interpersonal skills and political acumen to build effective bridges and collaborative relationships; proven experience with strategic planning and assessment; and knowledge of best practices related to delivery of academic services for student-athlete populations. The candidate must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of, experience with the educational and cultural needs of a diverse student body, and be able to relate to diverse students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and community leaders.
