The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Director of Learning Services who will oversee all areas of learning services (strategy tutorial, directed study lab, structured study hall, and testing and evaluation for student-athletes). The director will provide professional level support and programs for student-athletes in accordance with the regulations of University of Florida, the UAA, SEC, NCAA, Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Director will supervise 3 full-time Learning Specialists and 3 Assistant Learning Specialists and oversees 70+ part-time strategy tutors, while also working directly with student-athletes with learning disabilities and ADD/ADHD. This position will close on Sept. 22nd.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in Special Education or related field of expertise and four years of appropriate experience working with students with disabilities within a K-12 or higher education institution are required. Seven years experience with these parameters is preferred. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality. The ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds is essential. The ability to work a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends and holidays is also required.
