Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the position of Major Gifts Officer in the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation department.
Duties include, but are not limited to: implementing, and executing strategies, policies, goals, and objectives related to fundraising for Coastal Carolina University Athletics primarily focused on CAF operations and initiatives support; planning and coordinating with Executive Director fund-raising initiatives with special focus on major gifts, capital campaigns and scholarships; building and managing a portfolio of 150 or more major gift donors and prospects for Athletics; developing and implementing plans to identify, cultivate, solicit and provide appropriate stewardship for major gift donors; planning and coordinating when applicable the involvement of the President, Director of Athletics, other senior staff, coaches and volunteers in development activities; assisting in the development of campaign literature and materials; assisting in the planning and implementation of Chanticleer Athletic Foundation special events, including game-day hospitality; and providing exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum three years proven success record in fund-raising or outside sales are required. Preferred candidate will have collegiate athletic fundraising experience. Successful candidate must have a passion for collegiate athletics and the student-athletes we serve; must possess an energetic and outgoing personality; must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, highly detail oriented; and must be highly motivated, reliable and team-member oriented.
