Provide day-to-day management of assigned championships. This position also is responsible for implementing the policies and procedures that govern the designated championships, as determined by the respective NCAA sport committee and appropriate divisional oversight committee.
Plan and conduct the championships and related activities within the budget established. In addition, conduct the selection, seeding and bracketing process successfully by following established principles and guideline.
Develop telephone conference and meeting agendas and supplementary materials; write and distribute reports; prepare necessary follow-up correspondence.
Provide training of NCAA technology programs (online score reporting, selection/bracketing software, committee collaboration zone, RPI reporting system, host reporting system) with internal and external stakeholders.
Track legislation and other issues applicable to the committee and assist in the preparation of legislation and policies developed by the committee.
Develop positive line of communication with coaches associations, national governing bodies and officiating organizations.
Serve as staff liaison/facilitator to respective sport committees and external groups (coaches associations, conference commissioner associations, athletic director associations, CoSida, etc).
Coordinate with various internal and external groups the administration of projects related to and executed at the championships.
Three – five years of experience in athletics/event operations (gymnastics experience preferred).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong relationship skills, both interpersonal and leading a group.
Knowledge and understanding of the Association’s structure, function and mission.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The NCAA national office is the staff and the bricks-and-mortar office building in Indianapolis. The 500-plus employees at the national office provide advice and counsel to the governance and playing rules committees, interpret legislation, enforce NCAA bylaws, provide legal advice, run championships, administer education and youth programs and communicate with the NCAA membership and the public.
