The Athletics Development Intern/Major Gifts is an entry-level professional position responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Development office. Specifically, this position assists with administering major gifts, including solicitation and stewardship efforts of current and potential donors as well as gift processing. Position is designed for recent graduates or graduate school students nearing graduation looking for their first professional job in intercollegiate athletics development and is not designed to exceed a maximum employment period of two years. •Bachelor’s Degree required in sports management, exercise science, business, journalism, communications, sociology, liberal arts, education or any other field related to duties and responsibilities •Willingness and availability to work nights, weekends and holidays •Strong interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills •Effective oral and written communication skills •Attention to detail •Some travel may be required •The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the time of hire.
