The Associate Athletic Director for Development will assist in the overall direction and leadership for the Athletics Development unit. The Associate Athletic Director for Development will cultivate, solicit and steward donors ($25,000 - $1 million+); manage a caseload of 25-50 highly rated athletic prospects and donors, oversee the day to day functions of the department’s annual fund. Assists with the strategies for utilizing strategies to maximize revenue and provide leadership for other senior team members with respect to major gift strategies.
Orchestrate all aspects of the annual giving program for Athletics including managing annual giving staff.
Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors with a focus on prospects/donors capable of making $25,000-$1 million gifts.
Responsible for all fundraising activities for assigned sports.
Participates in the strategic planning for the Division of Athletics as it relates to fundraising. Works with the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development as well as other athletics leadership team members to identify fundraising needs and help establish goals.
Utilize priority points and transactional giving to help move individualized giving donors into the major gift donor continuum.
Collaborate with Foundation and Athletics colleagues to generate new opportunities for athletic donor acquisition.

Must possess a valid driver’s license issued from the state in which employee resides. A certificate of automobile insurance evidencing the limit must be provided to the Foundation at hire and annually thereafter.
Education and Experience
Seven or more years’ experience in athletic fundraising, educational fundraising or related field
Three or more years of management experience
Demonstrated ability to personally solicit major gifts in the amount of $50,000 and a
Knowledge and understanding of priority point systems and concepts and their application as it relates to seating for donors and ticket holders at athletics events
Knowledge and understanding of a Division I athletics and NCAA rules and regulations
Proven proficiency in use of computers and information management tools
Ability to work to the demands of the position which may exceed a 40-hour workweek
Must be willing to travel extensively and have reliable personal transportation.
