The NCAA Director of Inclusion is an established thought leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion who is prepared to lead high impact, strategic efforts that actively drive inclusion excellence throughout intercollegiate athletics. The ideal candidate has a proven record of creating, implementing, and assessing successful diversity, equity, and inclusion programming and initiatives. Through collaboration with the inclusion team and other key stakeholders, the Director of Inclusion will advance equity and inclusion through the lens of intersectionality across the five core focus areas of international student-athletes, LGBTQ, race and ethnicity, students with disabilities, and women. The Director of Inclusion is collaboratively responsible for building inclusion across the five key areas and directly responsible for developing, leading and executing inclusion initiatives for the core areas of LGBTQ and women.
Maintain content expertise that includes a global knowledge of developments and initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Serve as a content expert and lead programs and initiatives for the core areas of LGBTQ and women.
Play a key role in developing, implementing, and assessing the office of inclusion’s strategic plan.
Create original content, give presentations and make public appearances on behalf of the Association.
Engage with, support, and lead association-wide, division-specific, and national office diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Build and support relationships with NCAA affiliate organizations and other external partners to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion for the benefit of student-athletes and those who teach and lead them.
Serve as a key contributor to the annual Inclusion Forum, particularly for program development.
Act as primary staff liaison to the Committee on Women's Athletics.
Act as a primary administrator for programs such as NCAA Common Ground, the NCAA Emerging Sports for Women program, and the Woman of the Year program.
Supervise, develop, and evaluate the office of inclusion’s assistant director
Build rapport and strong working relationships with the office of inclusion team and with colleagues across the national office.
Respond to inquiries from media, public and membership on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues.
Other duties as assigned.
