About North Atlantic Conference
Established in 1997, the North Atlantic Conference celebrates 25 years of excellence during the 2021-22 academic year. ABOUT THE NAC The conference was formed during the 1996-1997 academic year - as the North Atlantic Women's Conference - to provide competitive opportunities for the female student athletes of seven New England institutions. In the fall of 1999, men's programs were added to the conference offerings, and the name officially became the North Atlantic Conference. The NAC gained recognition as an NCAA Division III voting conference in 2004. The conference is currently comprised of 12 full member institutions in Maine, Vermont, and New York.
