The University of Texas at Arlington invites nominations and applications for the position of Head Baseball Coach to provide leadership and overall administration of the UT Arlington Baseball program, an NCAA Division I participant in the WAC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops, directs, and provides coaching and mentorship for intercollegiate baseball program. Oversight of player development, skills, and strategies to achieve success in the institution’s athletics conference at the national level.
• Manage recruitment of prospective student-athletes, oversight of student-athlete academic achievement, discipline, and conduct.
• Maintain an atmosphere of compliance with NCAA, conference, institutional and departmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Hire, manage, and provide leadership for program staff as professionals. Oversee budgeting, recruiting, scheduling, fundraising, and game management.
• Provide fiscal responsibility for the baseball program budget.
• Engage with donors, alumni, partners, and students to grow the fanbase for baseball through development activities and special events.
• Oversight of camps and clinics.

Working Conditions: Work in all weather conditions; lifting, moving climbing; non-traditional hours/weekends required and extensive travel; requires manual dexterity; repetitive use of keyboard and computers; work around standard office conditions.

Special Conditions for Eligibility: Knowledge of game of baseball, Texas-based and national recruiting strategies; pertinent software for scouting, recruiting, film breakdown; ability to communicate effectively with a variety of groups and people; coordination with external services team for game operations and game presentation strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of baseball leadership experience at NCAA or MLB level
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; proven leadership and communication skills
• NCAA post-season experience a plus, either coaching or as a student athlete.
