Responsibilities
As a member of the Athletics Department’s senior management team, the Associate Athletics Director for Finance and Business Operations assists the Director of Athletics with the overall development and implementation of Athletics’ central business operations. The incumbent assists with the operating budget, long-range capital and operations strategic planning, and human resources.
Provides strategic direction, decision-making and formulates policy while maintaining confidentiality on specific department matters.
Develops and implements sound fiscal control procedures and is responsible for the leadership and oversight of financial units and business service functions.
Administers all Athletics Department human resources activities within the scope of approved university and unit-specific policies and compliance obligations

Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or other job-related fields.
Equivalent to five years of progressively responsible professional/administrative experience; with two of the five years in accounting or budgeting or financial management.
Experience working in a university athletics or athletics conference office and experience with EADA and NCAA Financial reports and associated audits preferred. Experience supervising staff is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Leadership
Working knowledge of California State University System, NCAA, and/or Big West Conference rules and regulations
Aptitude to manage multiple projects and the ability to prioritize and work independently. Proficiency in using databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and other applicable software applications.
