Required Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree
Experience: At least two years of experience working with college students or graduates regarding career planning, advising, counseling, development, placement, networking, or human resource management. Industry-recognized career counseling certification will be provided if not already obtained.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Awareness of and interest in developing a wide range of career planning and advising strategies. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and in a diverse community. Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail. Ability to train student interns and staff with regard to understanding or applying strategies for improving career awareness, exploration, and readiness. Ability to gather data, compile information, maintain records, and prepare reports. Ability to analyze and solve problems, using independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information. Demonstrated ability to create programming with attention to inclusivity of diverse populations and constituents. Experience providing career counseling and services to a spectrum of diverse needs and backgrounds.
Computer Applications: Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Certification related to career counseling and assessments or development, such as Strong Interest Inventory, Clifton Strengths, MBTI, etc.
Experience: Four plus years' experience leading a comprehensive program of career planning and development for college student-athletes, including building relationships with employers is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations.
Computer Applications: Familiarity with career development software systems preferred
