Description: Facilitates the planning and execution of the women's basketball office and related activities. Coordinates logistics, team travel, support staff, public appearances, community relations, and other basketball-related events. Assists in monitoring academic progress and housing needs for student-athletes.
Individual serves the athletic department as Director of Women's Basketball Operations. Coordinates with appropriate staff the aspects necessary to operate a basketball program. Serves as a liaison with other departments, including marketing, media relations, academics, ticketing and life skills. Coordinates practice time for home and away games. Coordinates all team travel including airline, hotel, ground transportation, and itineraries. Assists with tracking student-athletes' academics needs and progress. Aids in housing needs for student-athletes. Prepares memos, letters and answers and screens calls for coaching staff as needed. Assists with recruiting, including mailings to prospective student-athletes and aiding in official visits. Coordinates all special functions including, but not limited to, Alumni Day, guest coaching program, banquets, volunteer activities and team community projects. Other duties as assigned by head coach.

Essential Functions: Administrative - Individual will be responsible for planning and movement of the women's basketball office. Serves as a liaison with other departments. Coordinates with appropriate staff the aspects necessary to operate a basketball program. Coordinates practice time for home and away games. Coordinates public appearances and community relations internal and external to the university for head coach and student-athletes. Assists in monitoring academic progress for student-athletes. Aids in student-athletes' housing needs. Travel Coordinator - Individual will coordinate team travel including airline, hotel, ground transportation, and itineraries for the team, coaching and support staff. Supervisory/Administrative - Individual will coordinate support staff (secretary and student employees). Prepares memos, letters and answers and screens calls for coaching staff as needed. Event Coordination - Individual will assist in planning of basketball related-events. Assists with coordinating any pre and post-game functions. Coordinate the guest coaching program, working with development and sport administrator.
Physical Effort: Individual will be required to travel between locations and could be asked to stand for long periods of time during practice. Lift up to 25 lbs. Computer knowledge, telephone work.
