Loyola University Maryland is seeking an Associate Director for Game Day Marketing in the Athletics Department.
Support all departmental activities that involve sales, marketing and promotion of all varsity sports programs. Assist with increasing resources through corporate sponsorship, ticket campaigns and other revenue streams for basketball, lacrosse and soccer programs. Generate increased attendance at events and enhance the overall game day fan experience. Work with Marketing & Communications to effectively promote Greyhounds Athletics.
Develop marketing plans focused on increasing attendance and further enhancing the image of Greyhounds Athletics specifically through student attendance. Identify social media and grass roots opportunities to communicate and engage with the Loyola students. Support partnership with Loyola University Marketing and Communications office to promote the overall image of Loyola University Maryland and Greyhounds Athletics. Collaborate with Student Development and its many student organizations and initiatives (i.e., Freshmen Orientation, Student Government Association, etc.) to develop and enhance mutually beneficial programs.
Plan, script and execute time lines for all home events. Raise the quality of the game day fan experience by developing a series of contests, promotions, sights and sounds. Supervise student workers and part time staff that assist in the execution of all aspects of the game day experience. Collaborate with University partners (i.e., event services, concessions, bookstore, etc.) to provide an extraordinary fan experience.
Assist in establishing/identifying/managing inventory values through partnership with Van Wagner and ensure sound partner agreements where all elements of each contract are delivered. Communicate with partners, Greyhounds Athletics personnel and campus representatives when executing partner agreements.
Provide assistance to meeting goals for generating ticket revenue. Assist in the evaluation and assessment of the student/faculty/staff ticketing procedure with a focus on developing high quality and user friendly ticket programs. Identify and solicit group ticket opportunities (as they relate to marketing plan) that will engage both for-profit and non-profit organizations in the Baltimore community.
Create dynamic opportunities for engaging Loyola University Athletics Cheerleading Team and Mascot (Iggy) in marketing, fan engagement and local exposure opportunities. Manage the student staff and employees necessary to ensure year-round exposure and community connections

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field 3-5 year’s work-related experience Experience in athletics marketing, client services, event operations or similar work experience in collegiate or professional sports. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills combined with exceptional organizational skills. Superior time-management skills and ability to manage deadlines. Ability to work independently, meet challenging deadlines and handle multiple projects. Required performance of all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, Conference and Institutional rules. Ability to support the mission and values of a Catholic Jesuit education, as well as University goals for institutional diversity.
